Threads onto standard 1/8" x 2" webbing - When you snug your weight belt to your waist prior to submerging underwater the spring loaded buckles spring stretches out to keep the belt snug. As you descend and your wet suit compresses a normal weight belt becomes loose. Not the belt equipped with this "Depth Compensating" Buckle. Its spring compresses with your wet suit continuously compensating for the loss of thickness your weight belt up. When you start to ascend the buckle spring re-expanse to compensate for the expanding wet suit keeping your belt comfortable and snug from the start to the finish of your dive.
